I'm Amazing.

I amaze myself at how fast I can lose perspective.

Truly amazing.

We (along with the rest of the world) have been going through some financially stressful times...

..for the past 5 years. HA!

The difference is in the last 7 months or so we've been waiting for a check from the government. Again - HA! So, here we are living "sacrificially" which, in reality, is probably living like kings to some parts of the world, meanwhile waiting for this check which is so close we can taste it!

That's been the hardest part, though. Knowing that any day now, we'll finally be completely out of debt! Oh, the wonderful-ness of it all! (I know that's not a word.)

Like I said, though - I'm amazing! Through all of this, the Lord has proven Himself over and over and over again and again and again. I think you get the point. We've never gone without anything we've needed. Ever. We eat good food, have a nice home, have each other *sigh*, et cetera, et cetera! *waving hand in the air*

But what is my response!? Whine, whine, waaa, waaa, waaa, complain, complain, complain.

Yup, I'm pretty mature. That's the kinda girl I am. ;)

This morning it occured to me that maybe there's a reason for this waiting...

..could it be that I HAVEN'T GOTTEN IT THROUGH MY THICK SKULL THAT I NEED TO RELY ON GOD NOT on the government?!?

Gee, now there's a thought. I'm real quick, too. In case that isn't painfully obvious.

Maybe that's not even why it's taking so long. Maybe God has nothing to do with when the government gives us our check. Regardless, I can still use this as a way to build my faith, right? Right. Instead of complaining and being ungrateful for ALL that I have. :)
